In the past month, I have sorted through more than a thousand display images for ideas for several subscribers that include a vintage shop, a hardware store, an apparel store and two gift stores. I started a folder on my desktop simply titled Fun Displays and quickly had dozens of pictures in the folder, so I decided to share some. There are no theme or hard lessons in this post, just fun ideas that will (hopefully) inspire you to create some unique visual merchandising in your shop!

I like the artificial turf wall covering behind the display shelves at Declaration & Co. in St. Augustine, FL. From what I understand, it can help with acoustic issues in a retail space, too.
I may have used the image below in an article I wrote about displaying blankets and scarves a few years ago.
The spiky pencil balls at Penny Post in Alexandria, VA were part of a back-to-school window, but I think they would be fun for the holidays and new year’s, too!
