The key to effective table displays is layering and varying heights.

At Calliope Paperie, you will notice a main table with ancillary tables on top and below. This can be achieved with dedicated display tables or pieced together with one large table, end tables (or night stands) below and a coffee table (or piano bench!) on top. Stools of various heights add a different shape to the mix, as shown with the stack of books in the above photo.

Similarly, this display table grouping has multiple heights. Note the off-center table placement, which draws attention and the addition of a dress form to top it off.
