ways to reward loyal customers with branded bags
I wrote briefly about branded bags in my last newsletter, which sparked a conversation from a brand new retailer who is weighing the cost of branded shopping bags versus the benefits. Another store owner reached out to me about an idea she read in a Facebook retailers group (she thought it might be WhizBang Retailers) asking me what I thought about branded bags and discounts and gift certificates.
For many of you, this will be a review, but it’s still one of my all-time favorite tips to share! If you use branded, reusable bags with your store name and/or logo on them, keep a few gift certificates or gift cards on hand at all times to give to customers when you see them out and about using your bags. It’s a joyous surprise in the grocery store, farmers market or at the gym AND brings them back in the store.
Here’s one of my favorite local bags. I got mine today at Land of Oz Toys in Rhinebeck, NY. (My grandson is turning 5 in a few weeks and G’ma loves to shop locally!)
